Claudia Roberts, owner of Pacific Dressage, LLC, began her training barn over sixteen years ago with the intent of providing riders with the knowledge and confidence they needed to become better partners with their horses. Having trained initially with renowned FEI competitor, Heather Bender, Claudia
worked as an assistant for Heather before going out on her own and attributes her successes to the elaborate education she has received along the way. Ms. Roberts is a graduate of the USDF ‘L’ program which allows her to judge schooling dressage shows. She has also earned a USDF Bronze Medal and numerous national placings, including 4th at Second Level nationally for the USDF/USEF breed championship.  Prior to becoming a professional trainer, Ms. Roberts practiced as a psychotherapist for ten years which gives her a unique background for the horse industry.  Ms. Roberts speaks fluent Spanish as well. 

Pacific Dressage is located in Lake View Terrace, close to Sylmar, at the Hansen Dam Equestrian Center.  Hansen Dam is the site of four rated dressage shows a year.  It has easy access to trails, two full-court dressage arenas, numerous jumping arenas and a variety of stabling options including 12 x12 indoor barn stalls, 12x24 partially covered pipe stalls and large turn outs. Claudia provides clients with a number of different training options and fees depending on the client's and horse's needs. For the competitive student, a number of rated Dressage shows are attended each year and piaffe/passage/Spanish walk clinics with Alfredo Hernandez are held each month. Any level of rider is welcomed by Claudia as well as any breed of horse or age. Her philosophy is that dressage, when taught correctly by utilizing the classical training scale, can benefit any horse and rider in any discipline. The training scale emphasizes rhythm, relaxation and suppleness, contact, impulsion, straightness and collection.
